damn that bike looks SICK!!!! like I would love the one that Ice Cube drove in Torque that bike is just awesome...... oh and okay here's the story of the night..... so you all know that there's this kid with a GTI that's been talking smack about Corollas and blah blah blah usual 16 yr old dumbass who thinks got it so the kid in the GTI calls me up around 7 pm and asks me if Mike still wants to race him so I said" Let me call you back on that" I call Mike and he says sure man meet me at 10 pm (meeting spot was at Old Town Arvada Theaters) and well I called him back and told him and shit and he's like "yea yea sure I'll be there" So I call him on my way up to meet Mike and he says that he's on his way so I'm like cool. I get there and chill with Mike then after like 10 mins I call him back and he says "oh I'm at Denver Motorsports with the WhyBother crew, if u guys want to come down here you should so we could race here" I'm like hmmmm no and hung up. So the kid bitched out and me and Mike aren't stupid enough to eventually drive down there and get busted for a bunch of ricers that race right by DMS where there's a lot of cops around the whole Santa-Fe area.... all I can say is idiots. So yea that's the story of the night, hell Mike wanted to kick his ass for making him come out for no reason lol

Mike drives a 05' XRS with intake and the GTI doesn't have any mods.... the GTI ran a 17 at bandemere... obviously kid can't drive that car worth crap, even though he said he can..... even if mike looses he won't loose by much.

and well good news, bike is mine on Thursday so I'll post pics and stuff on friday night, I'm so excited man. What are good sites to buy bike parts?

Thats a generic looking helmet, and if you like that style, you can probably get a cheaper helmet like that by Bel, Arai, etc

To be honest, all you have to look for in a helmet is the two approvals on the back.

DOT & Snell. I use HJC helmets which are 1/6th the price of a Shoei or an Arai, and the ratings are the same. The thing I like about my HJC is it is 100x cooler than the Shoei I had for a while.

Yep, I'm coming out there and staying with Denver Rolla. Can't wait! :D I'll get there Thursday afternoon/early evening (Aug 11) and be there till Monday morning (Aug 15).

How much did you buy the bike for?

I agree, look for the approvals on the helmet. That'll tell you what quality helmet they are. Honestly you can get the same helmet for different prices just look around. Most of the reason that they're expensive is the name/brand factor, but who can argue that they work just as well and people buy them :p

Triumph = british bike company. Not much following here in the states, but there are devoted clubs in the U.S. They're old vintage bikes are somewhat of a collectable item these days and has a rich history in motorcycles.

Not sure... I don't trust pretty much, if any british mechanical or electrical systems. For example just look at their cars and their reliability. Therefore, I don't really wanna know much or anything about how their made. Just their reputation = the color of their teeth :D

I would like to second that notion ^^^^

Sweet, he lives about 45 seconds in walking time away from me. ...ok..maybe 2 minutes.

Yep, the reason people buy Shoei's and Arai's is because they have the fancier designs and cooler graphics..but $550 for a helmet with the same safety ratings and less vents than my HJC...that's throwing money down the drain.

Those guys are a-holes. That company used to be Foothills BMW Motorcycles, and it's the same staff and everything they simply got bought and switched.

...what parts do you want to buy?

Yeah bro, we'll go over to Vickery saturday if you aren't working.

Beyond all the replies...it's a crappy day down here today. July in Colorado and our high temp for today is supposed to be 68. It's foggy, rainy...I should have just stayed in bed this morning.

Ok...about Murphy. I hate to say this about my best friend's cat...but she is basically blind, lazy as hell and as long as you don't mind me stared at for hours on end...you'll be fine.
...and the cat seems pretty much brain dead most of the time. I really think Kris should stop feeding it those "special" brownies.
