How do you like the magnaflow cat? Mine is a Prizm as well, and I am saving from now till tax time to get it fixed. It needs new motor mounts, and some exhaust work. I'd like to find a TRD muffler for it and probably replace the manifold, and it needs O2 sensors. Not sure about the cat yet. And if I have any money left I want to have the headliner redone. I have a dealer installed sunroof, and whoever put it in is an idiot. They pulled the headliner material so tight it is all falling down.

how much did you pay for the magnaflow cat. I am redoing my exhaust next spring, and I will probably stick with stock diameter. If you end up deciding to change let me know, maybe I'll buy your cat from you. I will probably go with a new stock manifold, new o2 sensors, perhaps a magnaflow cat, stock resonator, and if I can find a reasonable price, I'd like to get a TRD muffler. First though I am getting four new motor mounts and filling in the indents in them with acrylic to stiffen them up

Most likely you only regained the original mileage it was supposed to get. A bad cat will reduce your mileage. Have you installed your ELP CAI?

I'm kinda leaning towards avoiding a welded setup just so it can come apart if something needs replaced down the road, and also to avoid cracking anything if i run into the motor mount issue again

Yeah, I really didn't want to get it welded but it was the absolutely last option.
