Honestly, just sounds like he is tired of the corolla, I don't blame him too.

havent had the car for a few weeks now. took it off insurance till we decide something. only problem is i dojnt know how much i will have to buy a new car. i have enough to fix it...but the price to fix is more than the car is worth even on KBB for excellent condition with the ammount of mileage i have. i got a new quote today and they are telling me $4,000-$4,500

definitely too much... Im hoping that the AE82 lasts at least until I finish school (+-3yrs)

But in my case, people are selling 7th gen corollas here for 500-1k with body damage. Basically selling the cars just for parts. If the engine IS just plug and play, then I should have an engine+tranny for 2k or so. Since I just changed my suspension and my body and interior is prestine, the engine is pretty much my concern.

I'd say just part the car out, make money off of what you can and put that money into another car of your choice man.... 9thgen/10thgen perhaps? :D lol jk....
