Im not understanding what point youre trying to get across.

Uhm, and the Louisiana Purchase was bought from FRANCE. It was Napoleons plan to make a "new world" in the central part of what is now the US, but that fell through when he lost power of Haiti. Napoleon is the one that decided to sell the land to the US. True, the spanish held control of Louisana, but gave it up without a fight. And TEXAS was not a part of the Louisian Purchase. You jump from the LP to the pilgrims, etc, and Im not sure what your point it.

And to those that keep saying English is a pretty easy language to learn....English is actually one of the tougher languages to learn.

I dont agree with the bilingual signs either.

I can understand French and Spanish, but cant FLUENTLY speak it. And Ive been learning Arabic for about 6 months now.

without a fight. i beg to differ. but besides that i tried to put in order but couldn't really get it into place but thank you for doing that for me, you added some parts i left out.

    haha

i have always said that eniglish is one of the tougher languages to learn but for some reason others don't think the same.

    Yes, without a fight:

"The Spanish, who had never given up physical possession of Louisiana to the French, did so in a ceremony at New Orleans on Nov. 30, 1803. In a second ceremony, on Dec. 20, 1803, the French turned Louisiana over to the United States. "

    Look in any history book

And texas didnt become part of the union until 58 years later

Arabic is pretty tough to learn too...28 different letters, and each letter has many different vowel variations, and there are 18 symbols, yet each letter is written differently depending on where in the word it is.

i know that but i know i am contradicting myself but i personally hate to admit it, but oh well. Stupid things happen when you least expect it.BTW texas history books are not exactly the best of knowledge this state is very dependent on whatever they can find and they mostly speak of the state itself and very little of the US is total.

not exactly the teacher we had always tend to skip parts such as those and every now and then i'd go back and read up on them but its been a while since i last rad any history.

actually i never paid attention in class since i was always the teachers pet and it wasn't until i go to the Science Academy that i barely caught up on whatever history i missed.

Texas has its own and is printed in houston and there is a class that TEA made me take which was texas history. the rest of my history classes i kept changing schools so i never really got a chance to learn anthing my freshman year. the rest of the years i just took classes all year round and graduated as soon as i could.
