i have an auto corolla what would i need to make it into a manual
I got alittle insight on this when I did my motor swap. I think you'd need the manual ECU, you may or may not have to alter a few pins also.. Not sure. Also you would need 5spd transmission, clutch/slave cylinder, flywheel, pressure plate, clutch disk, release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool (all of this should come in a new clutch kit) both shift linkage cables, and of course the shifter. After you unbolt the transmission from the motor, the torque converter unbolts from the motor. Take that off, install your clutch kit onto the flywheel and swap it over to the motor. After that put it back together the way it came off and torque everything accordingly. Definitely check into the ECU and what else needs to be done getting the cars electrical components ready for the swap. I don't have much background on that.
WOW that seems like alot of work but i will still keep in mind as a future mod if my motor or transmission give out thanks for the reply tho. Very helpful
Oh yea, the clutch pedal and slave cylinder reservoir
