First off, you can't call your car a sleeper based on your planned "future" mods. It was like that, i'd call my stock 03 corolla with an aem intake a sleeper because i wanna do a 3zz/6 speed swap, custom made TEIN coilovers and some Advan wheels with A032R tires. It doesn't work that way, it's what you have on your car at the time.

Your mods are so basic it's rediculous. An intake, header and a high flow cat aren't going to make THAT big of a difference. Nor is your spark plug "upgrade" and spark plug wires. So with all your engine mods, you added maybe 5whp IF THAT.

Then for your suspension, all you have is upgraded rotors and pads. So you have good brakes? Brake upgrades are great if you have good tires, and those stockers won't cut it. Then to top that off, you've got no actual mods to help the handling.

uhh because your power mods are a joke.. my stock power xA would take you to the cleaners.. does that make MY CAR more of a sleeper?

listen, a sleeper is a car you look at and say "that aint' fast" and proves you wrong, not 'that ain't fast' and proves you right..

LOL, funny thread, I'm broke right now so I'm all bling bling for the time being, but I can turn pretty good, just not as fast as Tamago. ;)

...out here in Denver, when I was still into the "street-racing scene," there was a guy with a Metro.

    A METRO.

Multiple color doors, dents, huge scratches, front bumper hanging off.
    Total piece.

He came pulling into the parking lot...revving his engine a couple thousand up...we all started laughing...it sounded terrible.

    5 minutes and 1 huge burn-out later...
He was running a custom 97 turbo Prelude motor.

    That was a sleeper.

As far as my personal opinion...I like a clean mix of both. But the mods have to be tasteful and the more unique the better.
My '96 Firebird had black factory emblems instead of silver...a piece of black vinyl over the dot-matrix on the rear glass, polyeurethene fills on the rear bumper indentions and had my stock wheels sand-blasted and painted black with a polyeurethane paint.
Get creative, don't just buy the same parts everyone else has.

mostly speed with just a little bit of looks... sadly performance mods often cost more than looks mods.

A metro? go figure. Personally i tend to go for power and handling. Also braking which probably explains why my drums are just as strong as my front discs.

I would say "All speed, sleeper, look" My car looks very much stock on the outside and it sounds almost stock, but there is a turbocharged engine inside the hood, and when I hit the gas, it does not sounds stock at all!
