Sleepers all the way, unless you throw on a wing to look ricey and slow even though you're fast, and thats just funny. (Trust me my friends have done this, mustangs get pissed off to no end).

I like a mixture of both for sure. The car has to have the look but its nice when it can hold its own on the track too.

Both is good you want your car to look good and drew some looks, but Im going for sleeper. Theres nothing funer then pulling up to the lits with a stock looking rolla, and dusting sum punk in his moms minivan, civic, neon, and the list gos on. Thay see a rolla with a young guy driving and thay get 10 feet tall. That until im gone and all they see is my break lits flash, just to rub it in.

i'm neither.. none of you are "sleepers" because we all know the potential of a NA corolla.. next to nothing..

it's true tho.. i mean, aside from intake/exhaust, what have most of you done to make your car a fast "sleeper" ?

and both of those pretty much negate "sleeper" because they are noisy..

Totally agree, only way you can make an n/a sleeper is by doing a full engine build i.e. internals. bolt-ons will never make an n/a fast.

my plans are to do the swap with a FMIC, I dk about exhaust yet maybe after emissions or somethin and maybe a boost controller and a turbo timer and about 3-4 months after that maybe some internal work but as of right now just the list above lol..... man I wish I was rich lol

have you researched what it will take to get the 3SGTE in your car? Just asking because one of our old CC guys swapped one into his 91 and said it required LOTS of custom work.

as far as the original thread ?........Not sure how to answer it. With cars like civics and corollas none of us are "Sleepers" aside from a few who are F/I. With me I just wanted to keep the mods functional and the overall look clean, essentially make the car more fun to drive and give it a personal touch. That doesnt really classify as sleeper or show though.

To each his own, but I think nitrous is a cop out. I'd rather my car be able to make the power all the time instead of just when I have the bottle filled up.

Now, if you have a 1500hp turbo viper and you use the nitrous to spool up your monster snails, that's one thing, but I think its uninteresting to rely on the nitrous alone for your power.

What happens when the bottle runs out and someone wants to run you? "My car isn't fast now, I'll get back to you in about a week" sounds ghey.

That proves my point. That's why you shouldn't have nitrous in the first place!
