alloy refurb

    alloy refurb

    been wanting a change with the corolla so since every second honda now has bronze and antricite wheels i went unique and got a custom color made up and refinished the rotas to my new custom color


    wheels before

    after sanding and priming

    masked up and painted gloss black

    tape removed,centers masked and outer edge painted custom red

    after red was dried ,lacquer added then left to dry again

    Nice shade of red. Reminds me of a BMX bike I had as a kid, had the exact same color of red for the rim, silver painted spokes and black axle and forks.

    Going to paint the back side of the wheels or just leave them be? Might make the red pop more, if you carried the color all the way through the wheel. The overspray primer will likely be pretty noticeable on the car.

    Good job. They should look real nice on the car. I'm liking the color matched lip trend, but I know by the time I get into it, it will be old. :(

    fishexpo101 ill be spraying the inner part off the wheels at the weekend,just didnt want the filling up with crap as theres alot of flooding here at the moment,ill spray them friday and leave them to dry untill monday


    i sprayed these with an aerosol and amazingly came out quite good,they look better in person.
