AE92 rear disc conversion on 8th gen corolla

So many of you know that i scored a rear disc conversion kit on ebay for 99cents, well its not going so well. Pick-n-pull is once again having 50% off everything till monday so i took advantage and bought the tension bars from the 6th gen corolla to have my rear disc installed on the corolla. So hyped that i went straight to lifting the car soon to realize its not bolt on, its way different, needs some welding, and a pain in the ass...

After finally raising the corolla I realized its not going to happen unless i do some welding. took out the bars from the 8th gen corolla and they are waaaaaaaaaaay thinner than the 6th gen. I take the bars to a family friend and he tells me its going to take a lot of work, its possible. Basically he explained this to me...


I need to use the 8th gen bar because its the only way to allign the car properly so the ends from the 6th gen need to be cut off and welded, but the stupid bars are so hollow that they can break if you weld for so long. His idea was to get a stronger pipe that can hold the weld and weld the end on the 6th gen to the 8th gen arm. Its confusing trying to explain it but i hope the drawing gives you an idea of what im going through...Which led to my question, are the 7th gen bars thicker than the 8th gen? i know they are the same suspension so i know i can use those bars on the 8th gen. I hope i can get a confirmed answer before monday so i can go buy the bars as they only cost $8 on 50% off days.

Thats how i welded the arms...i just forgot about the conversion since now im trying to do the 5 lug with rear disc conversion....ill get pictures of the welded bars up

well....the bars themselves are stable and tough...but its just i never installed them because you have to drop the full frame from the rear down because the bolts holding the arms will hit the gas tank and with school , no time....

umm....well they are like 6-8inches long...you need to drop the whole rear frame thing that bolts on the car....its been raining hard here or i would have already installed them on my dads car....unless someone wants to buy the whole kit.

well its the same size as the 8th gen one...idk but if you can look it up its from a 1991 GT-S corolla

well wouldn't getting spacers fix this? im probably less than a regular dvd case apart from the tire hitting the strut at 225/45/

so installing this kit on my corolla with those wheels is a no go???
