So here is how my ELP CAI sat for a year or so. An ugly yellow color with a lot of rust on it:

So I took everything off in preparation to "restore" it:

Here are the 4 worst areas of the rust:

I sanded all of the really bad areas until they were smooth. I know it still looks really bad but this was actually quite good. Here are those same 4 spots after sanding:

After sanding down the rusty parts:

I used a high build primer after getting everything smooth:

    Paint and clear coat:

    Installed:

Filter sits right behind the left fog light:

I also replaced the battery terminals at this time, the old ones were a few years old and starting to get bent:

I don't have pics of the installation of the intake, which is a pain in the ass if you want to keep your battery and fuse boxes in the stock locations. As you can see however, it is possible. I may go back later and show what I did to make that happen.

So you went from an ugly yellow color that matched your battery to an ugly green color? lol. But the fresh paint does look a lot better.

And I meant it's about time you installed the fog lights.

The yellow didn't exactly match the battery lol. I checked... it looked like I was trying to match, and failing. I've only had the fog lights for like a week, it's not like they were just sitting around lol

No they are fully independent, I think I put it in the 8th gen thread. I just had them all on for those pics.
Edit: no it's in the previous page on this thread.
