I know that they crack a lot, but no, I took care of mine, it was always intact. I'm putting the battery there so I can run a better intake once I get my tags and nobody has to look under the hood. I don't think I trust myself to put it in the trunk, so I'm just switching sides. I never used it anyway, and I sold it for 20 bucks to a guy in town who likes my car and needed one.

How did I know the washer fluid was gonna have something to do with a #&@$ing intake.

No such thing.

Got a touring edition dash cluster, which means I can finally have an OEM tach, temperature reading, and get rid of the aftermarket tach on the a-pillar. The white face gauges are pretty cool, I might miss those.

Here's the old setup. But I can't just put the new one in, as I want to keep the mileage correct:


Undo the top two screws and pull out the black surround:


Take off the three screws holding in the cluster:


Remove cluster from dash:


Undo the 4 clips where the wiring harness connects:


Remove the clear cover:


Remove the gauge surround:


Remove two screws holding the front of the speedometer to the cluster:


Carefully remove gauge face from the speedometer, and don't take off the needle unless you want to recalibrate it (not easy, but kinda fun) using a GPS:


Remove 5 screws holding the speedometer to the cluster. This is so you can transfer your correct odometer to the new one:


Remove speedometer:


Take the face off the new cluster:


Remove speedometer as explained above:


Insert old speedometer in the new cluster:


Slide the newer gauge face on the old speedometer, minding that needle:


Very simple:


Align the new gas gauge to the same as the old one, don't want that to be inaccurate:


Screw on the face of the speedometer:


Reinstall front plastic:


Replace 5 screws on back of cluster:


Connect wiring harness to new cluster:


Screw into place:


Reinstall plastic surround:


Turn on ignition to verify everything works, and mileage is correct:


I can now ditch the add-on tach. Works great, I like the way it looks, and the light bulbs that were in there are a cool color. I'll post more pics when I change the dash to red LEDs. I also need to get the outside temp sensor so I can get rid of the "-E".

Yeah, that's cool that it worked so well for you to swap the odom... I mean cluster like that!

Ok so I got new taillights for my car. Here's the steps.

To change out the reverse lights, you need to access the connectors:

Unclip it:

Remove the three 10mm nuts:

I got those all clear lights:

I used electrical tape to mask off the edge of the turn signal, as it is easy to adjust right to the line:

Regular masking tape to finish it off:

Get all around the back side too:

1 coat of candy apple red paint:

2 coats:

3 coats:

4 coats:

5 coats:

To change out the tail lights you need to access this area:

Unclip the connectors:

Noticing a pattern? 3 more 1omm nuts:

I know the reds don't match so I'm gonna smoke them just a bit to match it up:

I have since lined up the paint better around the turn signal. I know there are gaps.
