yes it would. my dad has a set of addco's on his 12:1cr 4age ae82 sedan. it handles well, despite being on some less than grippy tires

no. we normally fight all the time. lol. he gets frustrated because i know more. he taught me the basics as a kid and i ran with it. when i was working as a general service technician for michel tires plus, i was running my own business on the side, building and tuning cars at night. i did this with 2 of my closest friends. got my ase certs for almost everything, i failed hvac.. by 1 question. taught my self to tune engines and ecus. read almost every book on the subject ofperformance, from chassis fabrications to engine tuning. i dont even approach modding a car the same as anyone else. like ask a normal "car guy/import tuner" what things to modify on a car to make power. you will get an answer like "intake, exhaust, turbo..etc" ask me the same question, i answer with "bore, stroke, rpm and bmep"

I would answer in simple terms with increasing area under the curve! I think that covers all four items you mentioned above! Although saying increasing BMEP and displacement simultaneously implies you are getting better torque efficiency!

My area under the curve answer means longer curve (rpm), and higher magnitude of the curve due to:
    • VE "mechanical mods"
      • Displacement (bore, stroke)
      • Flow (headwork, bolt ons)
    • Tuning for all operating conditions
      • Fuel injection quantity
      • Ignition timing
      • Valve timing
      • Feedback for at least the first two maps based on Coolant/Oil Temp, Knock, TPS, EGT, O2
    • Drive-Line Weight Reduction
      • From the pistons to the lug nuts.
      • Flywheel/PP is huge here.
That's all I can think of for engine power.
As for how this increased power feels in-car, that's directly proportional to the total mass of the car and determines the final rate of real acceleration.

yep. pretty spot on. but in bmep i also account for forced induction and nitrous. because those are modifications to the effective compression of the engine.

have you ever looked into spec clutches? they offer billet aluminum pressure plates and even drilled pp friction pads for better cooling of the clutch and reduced weight. they dont fuck around with clutches. plus they are one of the few companies to offer a full faced sprung clutch that can hold stupid power on our cars, while being easy engagement for the transmissions.

Just kidding! I should have added an inlet pressure bullet to VE.
