lol yeah they came like that, and this is one of the things I've done to my car that I don't have a step by step picture DIY for oh well. I suppose I could just do it again, but most likely I'll just take a picture of them as they sit now. I wouldn't try to drill holes in your stock rotors though dude lol

Yeah i thot you did so i was like :superconf but you should post a link to where you bought them from if you think they are worth it.. i like my OEM ones but im always tryin to upgrade :) how much were they btw?

Im not a pro but that looks like a drop just on Teins S tech.. thats what my drop looks like with the tiens in the back. those could also be coilovers on OEM struts. or they could be s tein on tokicos.. you really cant tell from the picture. but thats my .02...

HAH i knew it.lol dont worry dude the Tien S techs dont put you that low.. but if you want to be higher for the winter invest in coilovers. and if you have a 98 corolla be ready to dish out money on alignments...

oh yeah about alignments, i have a 01 corolla and i might lower my car (if i get ground controls) to maybe 2.0 in the front and 1.6 in the back, i have 16's offset 30 i fender rolled already but would i need an alignment kit?

you might need a camber bolt kit.. they run about 60 bucks for all four wheels at shucks auto. if you are like most people and take your car to les shwab they will make you buy one and it will cost you and eye and a leg so i suggest you buy and install your self. this is only if you want your car to align properly (like me)... if you want hella negative camber then by all means dont buy the kit. be warned negative camber will have you buying tires every week.jk :D but they will wear out alot sooner than when you have your car aligned right.

also when you lower your car the first time its like doing meth for the first time. you get addicted. you will try and lower you car more and more all the time.. atleast if your like me and hummer. so i suggest taking the coilover road so you have the option of being able to slam your car or having it stock hight. (thats what i sorta wish i did)

yeah but dont ground control work very similar to coilovers.
the only difference i find is that in coilovers you get tto adjust the spring rates

OH< HUMMER!! notice your front window. make it look like CorollaGT and mine xD

    no you dont. lmao

His shocks are the ones from when it was first made 2001. lol, just like mine was till last summer. my car only has 84k miles though which shocks last about 75k or so..but yea. he has 16x7 wheels that needed new tires. car clean though. he doesnt think so?! *pfft lol

That's where you're misinformed. Full coilovers have a constant spring rate where you only adjust the height no matter how much or how little you lower. Coilover sleeves adjust height by changing the spring constant due to the compression of the springs. This leaves the car having an uneven spring rate geometry. In addition to adjustable height and constant spring rates on full coilovers, you can also adjust the dampening depending on your driving application. The springs and shocks are matched to have minimum underdampening or overdampening. With coilover sleeves, it's hit or miss with shock matching. Mostly miss. To get that perfect geometry on full coilovers, you'll actually want to corner balance as well, but I won't get into it. They're pretty good already for daily driving and the occasional track run.
