7-8th gen coil overs

    7-8th gen coil overs

    i know 7th and 8th gen suspension parts are interchangeable but can i use 7th gen coil overs on an 8th gen?

    and can 9th gen be used on 8th?

    suspension is a lot different isnt it? my friend with a 9th gen had so much of an easier time doing suspension work on his car

    the rear suspension of the 9th gen is a torsion beam type similar to those found in the Previa and Sienna. aka minivan inspired suspension.

    6th 7th and 8th gen has macpherson type suspension on the rear as well as the front.

    You should be fine with coilovers. I had put some Eibach's on my 8th gen, but they were specified for 7th gen. They fit and all, but the front of the car was way too high. I think it had to do with the 7th gens having an iron block engine, and the extra weight would have dropped the springs in the front. Since we have the advantage of a lighter weight aluminum block, the spring rates should be different.

    I took them off, then put S-techs. Now I'm back to stock.
