Your right. I think VW's quality is better than Toyota, however I think Toyota is better than VW in the reliability, although VW's not as bad as people make them out to be.

Right, I had a 94 corolla. That had 160k miles on it and wouldnt be practical to put tons of money into it that still wouldnt make it go.

And since Ive had my passat, I put 1500 miles on a 2003 Camry driving it down to the beach last summer and then driving it to and from work for a few days after that.

After driving it for that long, I came to the conclusion that the passat is a better quality, smoother driven car.

Which new lexus are you referring to?

i never said anything about putting money into your corolla by the way...

referring to the new (2004-2005) lexus models (is300, gs) or even the avalon.

I have been in a 2003 Camry LE and a 2005 Camry SE V6. Their quality, fit and finish was miles apart. In the end, Camrys these days are considered the benchmark in midsized sedans and not Passats. Then again, Passat is present on the top twenty lemon list as well.

The B5 passat is on the lemon list, not the B5.5

2004 Lemon list: (Which have a lot of popular modding cars) (Dodge Neon, RSX, Impreza tops the list!)
And the passat is at the bottom of the list, not much more higher with the complain index ratio than the bottom.
