1Nicetrd build Thread

Spent a good amount of time dialing the alignment. Finally getting a nice linear rotation control i've been wanting with left foot braking.

Less time tinkering with the mods for a little, just enjoying the car as is. lol

The pics for this are broken, how did you get the mr2 swap header to fit? What kinds of mods are required and do you still have the pics? Thanks!

Little Update

Previously i was sporting a BBK from Fastbrakes which was good for the moment. Some reason i wanted more so i decided to step up to big leagues with a AP racing caliper and thicker rotor from a .81" to a 1.25".

Everything is metric on this caliper, so i can forget a tool and not really stress. which was an added bonus, Plus this new kit i have designed to utilize all OEM Toyota standard bolts for ease of repair.

So you updated your bbk purely so you can flex on other corollas. Seems about right

How did you solve the shift cable problem? One of the OEM 8th gen cables doesn't have enough reach to get reverse on the Matrix c60.

Well nothing new at the moment for updates, Been pretty slammed with new work.

I am transferring over my factory oil cooler from the spare block to the current one ( little did i know some 2zz's had freeze plugs blocking off the ports on the block on USDM models) So off to Toyota it was for ordering the correct part. That project is on the back burner until i get a day off. Always know something is gonna be missing or needed.

Went to a track day but just to hang out since my passenger tire is fried, The other track days killed them with that open diff.

So lately it's slowly chipping away at projects i need to knock out. my main one is a proper brake upgrade to hold the heat.

Lately the car has been running a stock ecu and all,Patiently stocking parts to build my spare motor.

But this motor has been a PITA with leaks, So i finally said time to fix it. Replacing the rear main seal, valve cover gasket, Spark gaskets, and finally reseal oil pan.
(its a high milage motor i got from a rolled over XRS so forgive the gunk)


Many of you know the rear main isn't just a "Quick fix". Soo i said its time... going with a light tune theme for the moment, and installed my helical LSD while i was in there so thats more small parts, Fresh bearings, and axle seals.

All my complaints about how the car needed a Diff are gone and its well worth it. Really bummed we didn't get a spec like this in the states


So now current specs are
-Stock ECU,2ZZ-GE,Xrs CARB typhoon intake.
-Stock c65 6-speed w/ OEM helical LSD
-superstrut with 2-way dampers
-15x7 Work RSZ-R on Nitto Neogen 205/50/15

I love the theme so far, keepin' it simple and fun.

Well, since summer has started unlike the east coast we hide from the heat and track days.

Got some stuff planned, if everything lines up well since work has been busy.

in the mean time here is the beast next to a stock 8th with some goodies

So no real update's. A lot of parts stacking for the motor build.

Recent addition is a OS Giken STR clutch is a single disc sprung clutch, that is more suited for race and daily use without a heavy pedal andddd can hold the torque.

The pressure plates on the ACT HDSS clutches for some reason failed in the diaphragm after about a year of use maybe 6 track days and some daily driving on a stock 2ZZ.

That's a nice clutch. Let me go and take that off your hands.
