hey thanks a lot for the help
ok so yea springs is what i was looking at too from the beginning but then the whole coilover, struts, and other things came in so i kinda got confused

ok so next q, lets say i drop my car and keep the stock springs for winter time. so lets say after a few months winter comes around, i put my stock springs back in, any problems in doing this? what would i need to do other than alignment? thanks again

other than a proper aligmnet, nothing really. unless you get like 4inches of snow, u wouldnt really need to change them out.

iono i heard of some horror stories of ppl puttin on lowering springs on stocker struts with a good amt of mileage on them.

the better more reputable full coilovers cost about 1500 or more i think

Also remember that if you change the springs, you WILL have to change the struts as well.

The spring constant will vary from company to company. You'll have to ask the distributor or company directly.

All lowering springs of some type have a stiffer spring constant than stock and WILL ruin your stock struts prematurely. So it's better that you wait and replace everything, or don't do it at all.

Tein S Techs or H Techs will do the job nicely.

Don't go generic and don't do dropzones. It's all garbage. I've been regretting what I did 6 years ago. I should have saved and gotten real coilovers.

Yes. Vogtland are the best. And 8th gen springs work on 7th gens too. I would recommend Tokico's.

    lol

im thinking of getting those vogtland's, theyre the same price price as tokicos's
my question was, now when they say 1.8 inch front and 1.5 in the back, do they mean theyre already are dropped or is that showing how much they can be dropped?

Eibach, H&R, Vogtland, Tein, etc. All considered crap on other forums. I have H&R and agree. They are lower, but are not stiff enough to prevent you from bottoming out. You know that big bang sound every time you hit a big bump or pothole, that's the sound of bottoming out. My car is now a bumpstop thumping machine. Tokico/KYB with the above lowering springs is such a noob ass setup. Your ride will be crap. If you don't care about ride quality go for it. This stuff sucks so bad, I am going back to stock springs. If you must lower, Road Magnet is the only company that makes a lowering spring stiff enough to keep you off your bumpstops, but you would have to get Koni inserts to handle the high rates.

dude dont confuse him more than he already is. ;)

93, the drop indicated is the drop it will give you. so yeah they are already dropped.

inserts, is an "insert" cylinder you put inside the srtut body. but you have to cut open your strut.

oh really???? so when i order springs, i have to be sure exactly how much i want and then order em??? man i was hoping to see them on my ride and then if i think they need a slight more drop i could adjust but yea then i i guess they become adjustable coilovers which are far more expensive. this blows

as for inserts, i gota u on that, but yea, i dont wanna do anything of that sort, now so many springs to choose from lol which one do i go for?!?! and yea i dont want them bouncing up and down when i go over bumps, basically the stiffer they are, the better

It's all about real coilover setups. Save up and get some Tein or JIC coilovers. Or Cusco or Toda. :D
