unfortunately, people who come here to ask questions occasionally don't know everything you do. deliberately misleading people isn't a good way of mixing things up, and it makes people question you when you try to sell things on here. congrats, you just lowered yourself in the eyes of newbs to the forum.

This just shows how people can be brainwashed into thinking some bogus product will work. Consider it a lesson which will teach one to do their homework, research, and think for themselves. I never had anyone hold my hand and tell me what works and doesn't work. And yes, it was just a joke. The bubble would have burst sooner or later anyways. Some of the comments like about the welds on the intake manifold and only 20 hp was supposed to make people realize it was just a joke. In this day and age, there is no excuse for not being able to find out information on anything. There's the library, bookstore, and the freakin' internet which is a superinformation highway sitting right smack in the middle of everyone's home. Do a little homework, and decide for yourself what is right and not right.

falnfenix, I'm sorry if this offended you or lowered myself in your eyes, but I'm sure you had to figure out things on your own. I know you don't blindly follow the masses and join the bandwagon on some ridiculous crusade. It was merely a joke and a test to see how many people haven't done their own research to fall for it. it would be good to have a good , if not one of the best info sites on the corolla here at vvti.net . now lets say a noob comes along and does a search on a speed chip , and pulls up this thread , not reading the whole thing . see what she or others are saying? there are no self rightous people here , just people that want to learn , and people that want to help in that process. jokes and squabbles , disagreements and confusion only hinder that experiance for some.

Like I mentioned, it was obvious that it was a fake due to the silly responses. I don't see how anyone can actually believe it even after those blantantly obvious signs.
Forums on the other hand have never been accurate. I don't take everything I read about on forums word for word. I do my research by browsing through sites, companies, retailers and the such. Forums can only add to that information. It is NOT the information itself. If you take and learn everything from forums alone then you yourself are misguided. People make errors and can be mistaken. Reputable websites will have accurate information because they are the ones wanting to sell the product to make money. Who else would know their product better than themselves? Besides, why sort through forums when you have more useful tools at hand. i.e. Google? The internet wasn't only made for forums. Its a way for all sorts of information to be seen by the public. And with all sorts of information, one must make decisions as to what is to believed or not. Nothing is perfect. So how am I being cruel by deceiving newbs when they are already being deceived by countless others when they should be judging for themselves? They may be a newb to the forums, but they are not newbs to the internet or to the world. Nothing is as it seems. And there is no one to hold their hand and tell them exactly what to do? This thread merely showed how people follow blindly to the peer reviews of others.
