the CAI's in general for the 03 and up pull cold air from the front left bumper. it could be the configuration for the prior gen corollas are different than the 03 and up. the intake manifold is in the front while the exhaust shoots out the back. anyway, some of the 03's with CAI's are showing 8-10hp gains dyno'ed. can;t vouch for the prior years.

HEY! whats withh all this turbo rolla guy, I bought a Injen intake for my 04' corolla, and it gets a 8HP in midrange and a 10HP peak, so stop bashing the INJEN, probably cause you can't afford it, thats all. Injens the top of the line kid, dont believe this others hype, what you bought is like the lets say... the creme of the crop. AEM is like IKON wheels and INJEN is like HRE's so stop hating turbo rolla, well worth the 250. and install it yourself, it should be easy, the only hard part/pain in the ass part is removing the battery, and dont forget to but the screws back in cause I forgot and it tore the shit out of my plastic under the car, in nearly scared the shit out of me!! lol, besides that... INJEN"S A BEAST!!!

yeah, take that intake resonator box out, and plug up the stock intake hole. that's all you have to do, since it will draw air from where the resonator box was... underneath the engine compartment and protected from teh wheel wells and front bumper area.

unless you have jackstands or whatever it's a lot easier if you take off the front bumper. that'll be fun, you should take a picture of the bumper sitting in the grass when it's off. we'll compare pics later, and it will be really fun.

The CAI filter should sit right behind the metal bumper guard on the driver's side. Mine sticks straight down out of the hole where the resonator box used to be. I can put on some better pics later but I've taken off and put on the bumper half a dozen times already. <img src="http://vvti.net/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0" alt="" title="Big Grin" />

Haha I am so cheap I cut my intake put and took off my resonator box. And I put a new fram filter in haha. It works good tho, I got a deeper sound and I have more throttle response, but then again I also had to replace my spark plugs so I got bosch +2 platinum ones so I have fairly well throttle response on my car.

reaction time has nothing to do w/ ur e/t. You could sit on the line for 10 minutes an still run a 12 second quarter mile.
