the rev limiter is there to PROTECT the engine.. so :) no worries.. nothing sounds quite like an S2000 with catback, in 2nd gear wrapping it out...
i've bounced off the rev limiter numerous times.. and from what i've been told, it's not a fuel cut. it's an ignition cut..

no, the noise is probably normal.. you could scrub your brake pads with some heavy grit paper, and put em back on..
