Oooohhh... so you didn't do that trying to get the drum off then?
Yeah, how'd you install them? I wanna see... [img]
You don't need the hub assembly, just take it off, knock the stud out, and pop a new one in there. And yeah, replace the drums and shoes... and...
Have a hard time getting that drum off? And how did you break the lug stud? Looks like the keepers for the springs broke as well and came out...
Fact is, for the same amount of money that you'll spend putting a V6 into a Corolla, you could have a nicely built 3SGTE, with more power and less...
Hmmm... we gotta get this figured out...
And since the '93 to '97 Corolla used the same tranny, the 2ZZGE is a direct swap for the series as well... we think :P
That means that the 2ZZGE is a direct swap for all '93-'97 Corollas as well, as long as you keep your stock tranny. :)

Yeah, but two things to keep in mind: always use Mandrel bends (instead of crush bends that most shops use) and use a high flow catalitic...
Let the Doc set this myth straight: *edit* Damn, polo708 beat me to it. Oh well this is what I was typing: An engine NEVER, under any...
I'm doing the wiring harness for this guy who did the swap into a '98, and I was like "What? How did you get around this problem and that problem...
Transmission differences? Does anyone know the 5-speed transmission codes for the '93-'97 Corolla and the '98-'00 Corolla? Are they the same?
2ZZGE Swap: An Easier Option Turns out that the stock 1ZZ 5-speed will mate up to the 2ZZGE without any issues. That means you could do the swap...
