i say go for the CAI...i've had one since january and i haven't had any problems yet. And you won't need a bypass valve because the stock splash...

removing the storage compartment is simply prying off the trim piece that goes around the a/c controls, the storage compartment and down to the ash...
i'm not really sure of the power gains (probably not much) but the ECU is located on the floor between the driver and passenger seat...basically...
the majority of "universal mufflers" are gonna sound like "rice fart mufflers" if you just weld them on to stock piping...replace your stock piping...

i'm sure there are no issues with it but you'd be better off going to e-bay and searching for "performance muffler" or something like...
that actually looks really good...what exactly did you use? and where exactly did you install them?
as far as the "axle back" exhaust unless you go TRD you might as well just get any universal muffler and have it welded to your existing...

honestly the struts take even the most in-experienced mechanic (with the right tools, of course) less than 2 1/2 hours...i know most shops around...
