    Codes P0441 and P0505

    Anybody have these codes before?

I understand P0441 is about the purge flow in the evaporative emission control systems is incorrect ...but what part(s) should I look at to replace?

P0505 deals with the Idle control system....so what part(s) should I replace?

P0441 is the same one that i have. 8th gens have a common problem with one of the purge valves. go to the junkyard and buy both valves and the sensors attached to them. couldnt be more than $10.

as for P0505, does your car idle normally? any cold start problems? when you start it the revs should be around 1800-2000 RPM and should quickly drop to 1200 and then to 800 when warm. It could also be a leak thats only open when the engine is cold. I would watch over your idle and check the throttle body and piping for leaks and check the little paraffin ball, or whatever its made of that allows more air when cold and closes the opening when the engine is warm
