I've tried several methods of connecting the knock sensors. Still pings. So the ecu is tuned to be too far advanced. I am currently talking to my friend that owns a dyno shop out here in Manteca. He's tuned my Honda's before. Plus he's use to tuning 500+ hp cars so I'm confident he can tune mine. Anyways... He said he's willing to start a base map for the AEM EMS-4 for me and tune the supercharger after that. The aem ems-4 is much more modern and advanced than the Power FC and easier to tune. The best part of it is that he says the AEM is only about 650-800 plus harness. Which makes the unit actually cheaper than the Power FC at about 1050 plus harness.

I was actually planning on using the AIC1 on the Celica ecu since it doesn't seem to ping as much. Maybe because it's running richer than 8th gen. But I figured it's worth a shot

Awesome, that sounds like a much better solution. Are you going to have it drive the 5th injector, or upgrade to yellow top 2ZZ injectors?

That is a series 2 box with just half of the I/O for 4 bangers, awesome! Hopefully you can tune vvt-i on that thing too.

I'm planning on running the yellow injectors because i have 12 of them in my garage lol. It's a better setup. Tuning ported injection is far superior to TBI injection, which is basically what the 5th injector setup is.

Awesome. Do you mind if I tag along when you guys are tuning? I have taken a class and understand aspects of tuning/software, but haven't really strapped a car on a dyno locked it in and tuned every single cell yet.

Sure!!! It'll be over a month or so till I get started on this but I'll let you know when and If I decide to go this route. I'm going to drop it off his shop so he can get started on the base map. After he gets the car running with the base, I'll call you so you can come by and check out the actual tuning portion.

Those Esuperchargers are good for about 5-7hp and 3-5tq. It really depends on which model you use though. There have been several dyno tests of "GOOD" Esuperchargers on different cars and they DO work. They cost under $200.

Now that I think about it. People spend +$200 on intakes alone +$200 header +$300 exhaust systems. And each one of those only net you ~3-5 hp if you're lucky. So I guess that would still be worth it. I wouldn't flaunt it though lol

What I don't understand is why it's shaped like a fake turbo... the fan is supposed to pull/force air through the filter.

See. In order for these Esuperchargers to work properly which people don't know. Is that It needs that fake blow off valve in the muffler combined with it.
