    Speedo - Odo Caliberation

I just won the auction for a guage cluster with tach that was posted in the FS forum here. I did not realize that it was a kmph speedo and not an mph. Where is the caliberation info stored for the speedos in our rollas? Is it the ECU or is it in the speedo itself? If its in the ECU, I'm worried that even if I do swap the speedo, it wont work properly. If its in the speedo itself, then it might just work, but theres another issue, the cluster was pulled out of a 98 rolla in Canada. Mine is an 01, and it has that interior ambience sensor something something, and I'm not sure if all of this is gonna work out smooth, or will I end up in trouble for messing with the cluster.

just have someone with a radar gun to check your speed. use those ones that the baseball players use. then convert the kph to mph. i mean you have a tach now. the kph gauge is useless now. just go by the speed of your tachometer. but have someone radar/lidar your speed.

or you can buy an obd2 software that plugs right into your computer.

other than that, i don't know anything about calibration as to where it is or how it fixed. i do know that some cars or trucks recalibrate their speed because they have aftermarket plus sized wheels which throws off the odometer and the speedometer. goooood luck.

    or return it.

Maybe you can convert the kilometers to miles and draw new lines on the speedometer.
