    Shot by forums truly @james.

Context to no center tails, it was a junkyard trunk to test if the spoiler helped the car. so a ton of cutting was done and i didnt want to ruin my good trunk.

They both came out but different track days i did 2 weekends in row. So the wing does take some getting used to my high speed cornering can carry higher speeds, but now my problem i am over powering the 15's so i need to go bigger. my next track day i will do a back to back comparison to get timing data its cooler now so i can get some what of reliable data.

haha, yeah that's always the "problem" with these things, it never ends. But at least it makes noticeable improvement!

    We will rebuild.

Well... got some new coilovers from a socal brand called Riaction. I went with a digressive valved 2 way adjustable coil. going to track test them veryy soon.

Car will be getting a little revamp since i recently broke something in the current trans now.

Also working on fitting abs, since i wanted to see how it felt being it a rare option on the 8th gen.

Well we are back. I have done some modernizing to the good ol 8th gen. some stuff still in the works

So upgraded my suspension geometry to the ae111 Superstrut and got hooked up with some 2 way adjustable coilovers from a newer Socal company called Riaction, finally installed a Yaris power steering column, and next on the list is a DBW conversion. IMG_7841.jpg

That's pretty cool that you can just swap the suspension like that. Was it an option in another country or something? Or is it from a newer car?

And what's up with the steering column, what's the advantage there?

And I thought people generally hated "drive by wire" and preferred the old mechanical style

I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for solid work done on 8th Gen's... Some days I still miss my turbo'd beast... other days... I'm glad I don't have to tinker with it when the temperature changes, haha...

Thank you ! I’ve just wanted to finish my dream corolla but spun out of control. Man newer stand alones these are problems of the past one tune and you’re good altitude compensating is measure with a barometric sensor.

Doing this from a phone sorry for the double post lol.

So superstrut was a JDM option but ended up in Europe and it was reallly good. Biggest complaint was it’s pricey to upkeep. For all the arms new it is about 1200 but there’s a guy who can refurbish them now and makes it rebuildable at home for about 500 for the service and 80 for the parts now.

So the column a ae92 guy actually did and I figure I try it. So I kept blowing pumps and racks trying to figure out a combo for the 2zz to play happy with 8th gen stuff and got tired of it and wanted to get rid of the fluids. And I guess less Power loss from the pump never noticed it btw lol.

DBW on a oem setup is generally sluggish or weird. But I’m on a standalone ecu so I can program it to be 1:1 like a cable or by torque to pedal demand to prolong my trans from going out lol. Lost my final drive at a track day in January lol

That's pretty cool. I need to go read your whole thread it seems, lol. But because I'm lazy right now, what ECU did you go with? The days of the old eManage were a solid pain in the ass, lol.

Im currently on a link Storm G4+ and will be upgrading to a Link G4X Extreme pretty soon.
Car runs no gauges now ecu manages everything
    -Flex fuel blending
-Engine limiters for oil pressure, engine coolant, oil Temp, Fuel pressure and over boost.
    - a digital wideband wired in so i can have closed loop referenced from a AFR map to trim the fuels and keep the map consistant

yeah it seems like my mind has done a brain fart since I probably should have known the answers to all of those questions from the thread already, but granted, I"m not the smartest person when it comes to track mods. Sounds like you've got it all figured out and working in your favor! Hope it all works out

Damn... wish that'd been around when I was building out my Rolla... lol

When I looked at Link when we were first building the designs for the turbo project, LinkPlus had been out a couple years but still carried with it a lot of problems in regards to what we were trying to accomplish. When the G3 came out I was on the fence about what I wanted to do with my car and the eManage was doing what I needed it to do at the time.

The tech data on those G4 series looks really good.

    Update Alert :

So my ever so weird, stupid, maybe crazy quest for modernizing this old chassis continues.

First up is fixing my transmission problem with a retuned OS Giken LSD for my racing requirements.
    IMG_8172.jpg

And some VERY strong 3rd/4th gear.
    IMG_8649.jpg

That should conclude my power delivery/Transmission problem. (for a while)

Last was my recent update to use a Celica GTS DBW pedal. so i needed to do a little CAD work and testing to make a adapter. IMG_8369.jpg
    IMG_8364.jpg IMG_8366.jpg

Came out pretty good for my first time trying to make a part lol.

I want to drive this thing. Super Strut, Electric PS, NA 2ZZ w/ custom tune, and upgraded C60 w/ OS Giken sounds amazingly fast.
