    2500 grit? Then 3m rubbing compound.
    Or is 3000 the way to go?

    3000 grit is still sand paper. You can't feel the grit, but you don't want to feel the scratches on your head lights.

    Definitely make sure to either use a clear coat or a special head light UV wax, I grabbed a bottle of the Meguiars. Or, you can just wax it up like once or twice a month. Regular wax doesn't last all that long.
