    Had some 8mm spacers on the rear wheels for about the last year. Only removed them a few days ago. Trust you to mention it now :p :D. I was using the standard length wheel studs and only have about 1.5 turns before the wheel nuts were tight wasn't a very nice thought, so I decided to remove them once and for all. Will no doubt install some larger spacers in future, next time with extended wheel nuts, but spacers need to be certified here so will get them done at the same time as the certification for the coilovers :cool:


    Here's my latest mod that I decided to install today - 266mm rear disc brakes! I converted from the old drum brakes to these nice shiny discs from a JDM AE101 Levin GT Apex (same discs/calipers used on the JDM AE101 Corolla GT sedan, FX-GT hatchback and BZ Touring wagon models). The discs and pads are brand new so I had a bit of fun earlier bedding them in earlier :). Took me half the day to install them as I had to run the new handbrake cables and painstakingly remove the long bolt that goes through the lateral arms but I got there in the end. Here's some photos of the finished job:

    you have to import them...no US corolla had them, the AE92 is the closest thing to get but you need to get the stabalizers arms welded on the end of the ae92 ones.

    Corolla GT has AE92 rear discs, it's a different fit. cBass is trying to do the conversion with more readily available parts.

    im making it rocket science because im trying to make them a direct bolt on because most corolla owners wont want to weld or fabricate stuff....then once i do ill make a write up.
