Fog lights and power mirros Help????

    Hi.

I got my car today I check the leables and is a 00 Toyota Corolla S Canadian.

Firts question are the fog lights the same for all the models 98-02?

Second I took a look and see that the car is pre wired for the fog lights. Do I need to put a relay in the fuse box like I deed on my 04 Scion Xb?

Final question does the side mirrors are pre wired too so I can buy some power mirros?

    Thanks for the info

The 98-00 do not have fog lights. It has a fog light fuse, but no fog lights.

Do you have tear drop headlights with a single H4 bulb or peanut eye headlights with 9006 and 9005 bulbs?

00 was more likely a build date... model years come out roughly in August or September, so yours is more than likely an early year 01..

    yes, about the fog lights
    yes about the relay

yes about the powered mirrors... but, you need the control switch to make them go up and down and side ways

hey i have a 8th gen and im sorta in the same boat as him, you see i already have the oem fog light stalk and i have the fog relay the thing is i dont know where to find where it goes i looked underneath the steering wheel and didnt find anything i looked underneath the hood and didnt find anything what im thinking of doing is grabbing the relay block where the fog relay would go on a 02 corolla and swap it with mine, i drive a 98 corolla by the way and also theres a plug hanging loose right underneath the hood latch is located theres only one i cant seem to find the other one is that for the fog lights or for something else? thank you in advances :)

You probably need to fog wiring too other than the stalk and relay in order to stay OEM. since 1998-2000 model suppose not to have any pre-wire for foglight.

but since it is going to be a big conversion, than why not just buy a foglight kit and call it a day, at least it is more easy

I thought the 01 and 02 ce and le corollas were the only ones that came with the pre wired fog lights in back of the bumper but no fogs?

i think that the plug behind my bumper is for the secondary horn cause it looks like its suppose to clip on the bottom of the hood latch support it looks circular and its colored dark grey and yes i will need the fog wiring as well, well atleast the plugs cause i will be doing my own wiring but still using the oem fog stalk, when i was at the junk yard i followed the wires from the fog relay and i marked where all 4 of them go on the relay itself :) luckily i grabbed enough wire from another corolla just for that purpose, i was just trying to find a way to avoid doing my own wiring ill keep you guys posted and ill show pics if all goes well i would like to sticky this cause im sure theres alot of 98-00 corollas owners out there that would like to go the same route as me instead of putting aftermarket switches for the fog lights

i just hope that the fog lights i ordered comes with the wiring itself already, you see my fog lights are actually fog lights for 98-00 corolla the thing is that in the US they 98-00 corollas dont come pre wired BUT they do come with a FOG LIGHT FUSE smh which means that outside the US they come with fogs, why do i say this? because my fog lights are coming straight from russia yes russia lol i know crazy right? but yes thats one thing that struck me is finding out why usdm 98-00 corollas come with the fog light 15 amp fuse?? any answers anyone? and please correct me if im wrong on anything i said, wont be disappointing :)

That my friend is the temperature sensor....im assuming you have a non-tach cluster which leaves that plug empty at the end.

can we get a picture of those said fog lights that are from russia?

i am assuming you are talking about the Euro Spec corolla : http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-reviews/toyota/corolla/18587

cause at my hometown, we have 8th gen Japanese spec corolla, AE110/111, AE111 coupe do come with fog but it is round light and no AE110 ever come with foglight i am sure.

Its not the first time car maker have a fog fuse for car which actually doesnt , such as the same year camry or even my old 97 nissan sentra.

also, what trim of corolla do you have ?
    Added: Mar 31, 2014 4:39 AM

you are right buddy, only 01-02 CE,LE are coming with prewiring, thats why i can install fog easily lol

then i am confused on what you are talking about under the hood latch...the only electrical under the hood latch is the outside temp sensor.....maybe take a picture to get a better understanding on what you are talking about?

lol worst case scenario is ill just run the wires with out plugs but still use the relay and also if they came with the fog fuse what color wires are they? then all i would have to do is run one wire from the relay to the fog stalk
    Added: Mar 31, 2014 5:42 AM
ill post pics once i get the fog lights and work on it hopefully they come in tomorrow and it doesnt rain tomorrow

than the plug you are talking about is the temp. sensor.

Yeah the 98-00 don't come pre-wired for fogs, simple as that. That statement is for US spec cars.
