    Now my intention is not to turn this thread into a debate over politics or rights, but how do you guys feel about the outcome of the results?
    I've actually been following it quite closely and been waiting for the results over the past few days.

    My overall opinion; It irks me that so many strangers are taking this as a personal matter like it was their family member that was killed. All the death threats and propaganda are ridiculous, after all... Zimmerman was found unanimously NOT GUILTY by a trial of his peers - 6 women.

    Does that mean those 6 women should be the target of hate, violence and threatened with their lives?

    This should have never gone to trial. The ONLY reason this went to trial is because the black community. And it pisses me off, that they demand for him to be charged, then he is charged, prosecuted, and found not guilty.

    Then they say the system "failed". It didn't fail, I guess if things don't go their way it fails. And now there are conspiracy people saying that they already planned weeks ago what the verdict was going to be. Bunch of shit. Pisses me the fuck off.

    Completely agree, I remember when this happened a year and half ago. Found not guilty so I was like :fyeah: but then after all the bitching and moaning from the back community they forced a trial even after florida law allows use of deadly force in self defense. :deskflip:

    Chapter 776, Florida Statutes, is Florida law pertaining to the justifiable use of force.
    Chapter 776 was amended by the Legislature in 2005. The changes that took effect on October 1, 2005, extended the provisions of what is known as the “Castle Doctrine,” declaring that a person has no duty to retreat and has the right to stand his or her ground and meet force with force if that force is necessary to prevent death, great bodily harm or the commission of a forcible felony.
    The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is not authorized to provide specific guidance concerning the use of deadly force to concealed weapon license holders. The department is charged by statute with administering the provisions of the concealed weapon licensing program in accordance with section 790.06, Florida Statutes. However, that is the limit of the department’s authority.

    I know, but that was the only thing worth replying to. I already agree with everything that was said. If he shot some white kid, or another Hispanic, nobody outside of Florida would have ever heard of this shit.     this didnt go to trial because of "black people". it went to trial because of the media.

    The jury got it right....being an overzealous, wannabe racist cop isnt against the law (unfortunately). This guy got more than he bargained for and because of the Florida laws, because he felt his life was in danger he is legally allowed to pull a gun and kill a dude.

    It went to court because of the pressure from the black community. He was already acquitted of charges after his death.
