    WTB "Best" Mud Flaps

Just wondering guys/gals... who makes the best mud flap for a Corolla? Toyota? Aftermarket? Please let me know... yes, they look dorky... but I don't paln on modifying the car (at the moment) and I need a way to keep the debris off of my easy to get dirty white paint.

BTW... how much $$$ would I be looking at - installed?

Easy to install... does that require any drilling?

    2003C-RollaCE,

Sorry I wasn't at my PC last night.

I was at a dealer's parts counter and had a chance to examine the mudflaps/mud guards myself. It appears that one would have to drill a hole in the metal part of the wheel arch (where it's painted) in order to mount the rear mudflap (with a spring clip)... Wondering if Toyota would somehow deny rustproofing claims even though the product is a genuine Toyota accessory. I could see some assinine adjuster denying a rust through claim citing that the body had been drilled...

Should I drill the hole and buy some touch-up paint to cover the exposed metal?

I just received some mud flaps I bought from a Toyota dealer on EBay... they appear rather flimsy (injection molded thin shell... more like mud "scoops"). Is there more than one manufacturer of these things for the 'rolla? (These are marked "made in Canada" and "Toyota" does not appear anywhere on them or the packaging, btw).

my stock mud flaps are made of some hard plastic. they shouldn't be flimsy. i hit the curb pretty hard once and made some scratches on them, no flex
I don't think they say toyota anywhere on them
