Wow this car was fast...

This is not a corolla experience but since I am a corolla owner I figured I'd share with you guys anyways...
My GF has been talking about this guy at her work who is really into cars like I am and has been bugging me to meet him. He owns an Eclipse and I blew it off as another want to be tuner. Well I was wrong.

I met him yesterday afternoon and he showed me his car. Wow. Not riced out at all...it has rims, exhaust and been lowered from outside appearances....oh yeah and a nice FMIC sitting in it. Of course I had to ask about it. His car is a GSX and he completely upgraded everything engine and transmission related. The man went all out...he runs 15psi on the street with 93octane and has it perfectly tuned. He says he has ran as much as 19psi but kept breaking half-shafts. By the way he now has carbon fiber half-shafts. He also had his dyno charts in his glove box and he is putting down 434hp at the wheel. I can probalbly get a copy if anyone wants to see it.

Anyways we went for a ride and the car really throws you back in the seat. It chirped the tires when he first got on it but then around 3-3.5k rpms the turbo kicked in and it was bad. It seemed like the turbo took awhile to spool up but it was worth it. The AWD was nice because it was constant grip. We had fun.

Now only to get the Corolla a nice turbo and awd.....dreams.

GSX's are bad-ass... all wheel drive turbo, cant beat em.
