    windshield crack.......

    :(
today the temp got up to 98C...
i was driving with the AC blasting and all of a sudden i see a crack forming...before i realized it, its already stretched from bottom to top of windshield. Damn! It started as a small rock chip. I tried to seal it with one of those windshield repair kits...lasted 5 mos.
Anyone ever had to change their windshield? I got a quote for US$178.00 (at your door install). Does that sound about right?
    Btw, its the ae102...

$178 is a nice price man, most people that I know change theirs for like 200+ bucks and what not. I had mine changed with a friend of mine for only 100 bucks and to this day no cracks, no leaks no nothing.

Yeah, changing your own windshield is a major pain, I don't even do it on my own, for the price you pay let the pros at it :)

Yeah thats a great price for a mobile install. I worked at Novus for a while. Just make sure that they are a reputable company. Some people do cheapo jobs, you don't want that. The windsheild is a big safety factor and should be done right.

Yea I'll have to replace my windshield before I go get the COI (safety) here on my CRX. Glass for those here is expensive though, just heading over to the neighbors right now to see if he wants to sell a spare one (crossing the fingers :))

When i got mine replaced it was 119 total thats with a toyota original window and the cost of installation and the front strip of tint that goes across it so i guess you can say i got it at a bargian. Included the removal and reattacment of the rearview mirror.
