windex on chrome rims

    windex on chrome rims

    anybody know if windex is harmful to chrome rims?

    um it has ammonia in it. i have no clue. coke works though!

    im asking because i heard that some wheel cleaners contain harmful ingredients that actually mess up the finish of wheels....the windex shines up the chrome nice, i was just curious about the negative effects of windex

    ya. i have perosnally never owned anything that is chrome on my car. but in my house we use coke. and it works.

    just use water, best thing for chrome rims, if you wash them with anything the finish can come off eventually, a friend of mine used to own a lowered S10 with 17" chromes, and all he used to do is wash them with water, when he sold them the guy who bought it washed them with soap and they started to haze
