    Will s/c and 8.8:1=7-8sec 0-60? (AUTO)

I E-mail hooolala about if it was posible to bump up the boost on the s/c. I realy don't know much, but with a 8.8:1 pistons and the s/c on a 9psi pulley I was hoping I could reach a 7-8 sec 0-60 car BTW it is an auto
Also will I have less hp/tq if I only do a 8.8:1 and the S/C? but NO pulley. This will help me decide if I should even bother with it or not. I may just get a differant car with VVT-I to do this on  This car is a daily driver 150-170miles a day, so if I go this rout I want to make sure the engain can handle it........if there is anything else involed Plz let me know.......

The TRD supercharger can handle it. It has been thoroughly tested under extreme conditions for thousands of hours and who knows how many miles. TRD guarantees and support their product. You should go to the link www.trdusa.com and look under the supercharger link. YOu will see. It is made for everyday driving without compromising degradation of engine and performance.

They even claim it runs much cooler than turbo, so that's good. Unlike turbos, as soon as you step on the gas, you get instant response from the s/c. Turbo got to spool up at certain speed and gets very hot.

TRD SUpercharger is full warranty (factory warranty on your car too). Get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You'll notice the increase in performance, guaranteed. If you don't have the cash, just charge it or get a loan or something. Best investment ever. Emsission and SMOG legal too. How can you beat that?

Based on Matrix 1.8 L engine, same thing as a Corolla:

    Automatic
    XR S/C XR stock
    0-60 9.0 10.8
    1/4 mile time 16.9 18.0
    1/4 mile speed 82.5 78.6

Looks bad, but I don't care. I still want the s/c.............
THe manual has much better runs, under 10 seconds.

I personally think those times are bs they just dont want the matrix and corolla supercharged to be faster than the celica or as fast.

I'd start to worry about heat if you're going up to 9psi. Might not be an issue but its something to watch out for

I am running 9 psi right now and not too worried about it no problems yet. I am going to put a water meth injection on though. DO NOT RUN 9 PSI WITHOUT SOME SORT OF ENGINE COOLER. You dont get any gains. I just have it on right now because I dont feel like taking it off. I only gained 5 hp. I believe with the water injection I will gain about 20. The engine is running to hot so that takes away power.

you know what?? i found out my supercharger was running at 8.5 psi all the time.. i mean i thought TRD set it as 6.5 to 7 psi... but when i did my dyno test, it shows 8.5psi.. but since my engine is pinging pretty bad, they lower it to 7.7psi by adjusting unchip.. anyways.. if 8.5psi from TRD is true.. then it sounds right about getting 5hp out of 9psi pulley..

here is the picture i took while they are lower my boost from 8.5psi down to 7.7.. the first line from the top of the screen (green) shows 8.3psi, it was higher before..

here is the picture after they lower my bost to 7.7...

I know you were having some problems hooolala, but did you ever get any numbers on gains? BTW I was thinking of getting a tranny cooler as well..............I heard a while back that a somewhat know company was going to put one out for us. Any truth to this?
