    Why did Toyota change the corolla's silver paint

    My buddie bought a brand new Corolla XRS with the silver streak mica and he saw my Corolla which has the lunar mist metallic and he likes it more than the new one so he brought it back to Toyota and paid $2000+tax&labor for a lunar mist paint job.

    um...they do change paints from year to year. ALL car companies do it. sorry your friend didnt like the color that came on his car, but so be it. it happens.

    i recently bought a silver streak '05 corolla and i think it looks better than lunar mist. lunar mist is a bit darker.

    sorry but i have to say that... that's the dumbest thing i've heard so far. buy a brand new car and then take it back to have it repainted!

    hey it happends all the time. have you ever been to a carshow. were their are a bunch of new cars with candy paintjobs on them? believe me when i say this. they didn't come like that from the fac.
