Dont waste your money on that. By looking at the price and the HP gain, I already it's fake. It's pretty much the same thing as the resistor thingy. It does nothing but hurt your car.

*sigh* since the simple answer the first time didn't convince you, here's how they work:

They are simple resistors inside a cheap plastic box (despite what the say about fancy abs thermal magic plastic). You hook it up to your AIT sensor (Air Intake Temp) and it manipulates the readings. The AIT sensor is basically a temperature modulated rheostat which varies a applied votage resistance as air intake temperature rises and falls. The AIT works in conjunction with the MAP sensor (Manafold Air Pressure) or built into the MAF sensor (Mass Air Flow) -depending on your engine- and allows the ECU (Engine Control Unit) to calculate the corect AFR (Air Fuel Ratio) -optimal AFR is reached at 14.7:1 -also refered to as lambda. A lesser ratio is considered LEAN, greater is considered RICH. (Running Lean would increase power but increase engine temp also and vice versa for Rich)- and adjust valve timing on VVT-i equiped motors. When you apply a resistor to a sensor, it would distort the actual reading. In this case you are applying a resistor (The magic box) to your AIT sensor, this would make your ECU think the intake air temp is cooler than reality theyby leaning out your AFR and advance timing (on electronic valve timing equipped motors). The box does work in theory but most likely it is just a couple of cheapass resistors hookedup together by somebody like me working in their parent's basement. It'll just foul up the AIT reading and may potentially cause engine failure (Engine running too hot= fried piston rings, melt pistons, etc).

Although it is true that piggy back ECU's like apexi safc and greedy e-manage works in much the same way, they are actual computers with software that monitor readings in real time adjusting to fluctuations

did I really had to go through all that? now back on subject- I like Funions also
