What type of battery does the 2000 corolla take, because sear sells multiple types of yellow top deep cycle batteries and i dno't know which type

do i buy any kind?

Call them and ask someone. That's what I did actually. The batteries are nearly all the same, it's just a matter of size and design. Some are made with posts on top AND on the sides for certain cars. Others are short and pudgy, and some are tall and skinny. You really need to call them and ask what they recommend putting in there as far as size and fitment go.

I have a Red Top for my 03 Corolla, but I think our engine bays are slightly different as far as the height of the batteries due to the positioning of the hood in reference to the battery. I could be wrong. I chose the Red Top because it has more power for engine starting and provides exceptional output even when the engine is off. It won't deep cycle like the Yellow Top can, but it'll do well powering a high-power audio system for an hour or two while the car is off.

in my case i think i need a deep cycle one.... a yellow top... I'm not sure. I have a 1200 watt amp, power 2 sony explodes... my lights blink when the bass hits... so i'm guessing a yellow top?<br />
