Engine where to start

    where to start

    I just bought my corolla xrs. I am not familiar with the engine or the technology behind it. All I lknow is I got a kick when the engine hit 7k rpms and launched. I am interested in learning all I can about this engine and what I can do to help it reach its potential. I appreciate any advice on how to build this "the right way."

    look around the forum. read old topics and questions. their are a lot of people with lots of experience in this forum. If you have questions about something, ask.

    that's what i'm doing and I know a lot more now than when I got my rolla.

    the kick is from what's called "Lift" - your engine is equipped with VVTL-i technology...it's similar to i-vtec, i believe.

    i don't claim to know a whole lot about the motor, either...heh
