    where to mount navigation

trying to come up with a creative location. idea's I've had so far:
I have a suction cup mount at the moment.

    left of the steering wheel
    center of dash
below the rear view mirror.. looks sorta weird
stuffed where the ashtray sits.. would need to build a custom mount
on that plastic piece opposite the hazards switch that does nothing

any other ideas? I tried sticking it in my big center cubby box and it didn't get enough signal to function.

there is a company that makes clips for the airconditioning vents. id personally buy one of those and stick it to the left of the steering wheel.

I brought a $5 airvent mount off ebay for mines and mounted it to the center vents. I will probably move it to the left vent when I find some time to hard wire and wire tuck the power cord into the vehicle's electrical system.

I found a spot I really like. right above the left vent. it sits out of the drivers view but still close enough to be used and gets satellite reception. I think I'll have to get a RAM gooseneck mount for it and I'll be in business :D

I mount mine to the middle of the windshield, just above the dash.
