where to find a 4age 20v engine and auto tranny?

Again Its mostly for show and a little sexy power. It seems very hard to find. Is there alot of work to be done? I want to swap out my old 7afe auto for the 4age 20v auto. I can probably get this all done for cheap if theres not heavy mods involved. Whats involved and where do I go to find one?

The 4ag 20v was never paired with an automatic and for good reason too. It doesn't do the 20v justice. An automatic simply can't bring out the full potential of the motor. You should consider swapping in a manual tranny as well. If you still want auto, you can always turbo the 7afe currently. There is another option. Have you considered swapping in a 4agze?

actually there are quite a few 20V automatic powered corollas, sprinters, levins and truenos in Japan. Venus Auto in sacramento almost always have it in stock.

But those autos should have gear ratios suited for a 20v, right?

not sure, i'm not very interested in finding out either It's still a 4spd/ OD transmission, thats all I know

I think it's the same A245E that was paired with the 7A-FE sold in the north american markets.

The gear ratios are way too long and wouldn't be a good match to the high end powerband of the 4A-GE 20V.

For high rev, manual or bust.

is there a 4agze with automatic? or can I just swap the engine with no transmission? Never drove stick and had the luxury to sit beside someone who drove a stick for 10min and burned his clutch so I dont really want to be spending extra if I shift wrong.

Actually its a A246E, with the blacktops at least. I'm not sure what they changed exactly.

If you haven't driven a stick sometime in your life, you're missing out.

they make both motors with auto tranny. You will have to look hard and find a shop that sell them. i have see a 20v and a 4agze . also keep your eye on Ebay and craigslist.

So would the 4age silvertop bolt on to the 7afe auto tranny? What would have to be done? Again I want to show off not race. I have a shop willing to do anything so I just need to know what has to be done. 4age engine on a 7afe tranny possible?
