when you supercharge does anything else need to be done?

if I were to supercharge my 04, would I need to strengthen up anything else in the engine?

trd recommends you change the spark plugs once you have the S/C installed.

polo have you done anything else to your engine other than sparkplugs?

(in terms of the s/c that is)

    did you install it yourself?

It comes with a 5th injector so you are good. If you get the package with the TRD ECU piggyback then you will be good because it has a controller for the extra injector. Some people get it without the ECU and go their own way, something like unichip or jet chip, bla-bla.

The internals are quite capable of handling boost of atleast 12 lbs... any higher and you will need to pull out the credit card. All you NEED is colder spark plugs. Im running Denzo Iridium IK20's, they are great. Here is a link to the instructions and stuff for the supercharger, straight from TRD:

heres the one talking about spark plugs: http://www.trdusa.com/InstallManual...17620-111-B.PDF

The AEM short ram intake and water/methanol injection. Everything was installed myself (with the help of friends).

    sc'd worth it

like polo said above, the sc'd comes with everything except the spark plugs which are a snap to install. I'd recommened improving the suspension as well as the I/H/E. It's worth it if you know that you'll have a fast corolla, not so much the fastest car around, but all around a decent car in terms of dependability, mpg, insurance, space, and umph. I still have a few more engine mods due to continue next year, but acheiving a reliable car with 200hp to the ground and 30 mpg is possible under 5-7k.

what is the H? I've put in hotchkis swaybars and sprrings and camber kit and a TRD exhaust... the next logical step would be to supercharge, but i don't know if I want to throw that much money in.

thanks, and btw the Tacoma 7th injector is expensive as hell, haha. I saw the price tag a while back and about fell on the floor. The 5th injector does come with the Corolla s/c, its attached to the blower.
