    wheel help!

this is a slight continuation of my FINALLY! thread.

i need your help, vvt-i. i need to find another set of wheels.

this is what i currently have:

i'd like something similar, preferably rivetless. trying to stick to either 15" or 16", and obviously 4x100 since my Corolla is pre-2003. here's the kicker...i'd also like them to be relatively lightweight and not cost me an arm and a leg...and i want to stick with silver (no chrome, black, gunmetal, blah).

i'm going to be shopping when i can nab a few minutes online, but ANY input from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

...and if someone can find a reputable source for TRD wheels, i will send you e-humps aplenty.

you have your mission. please help! gogogo!

nah i think the evo 5's only come in 17 or 18. :(

however, i'd go check treadepot.com and see what you can find there - they have a pretty wide selection at some pretty damn good prices. especially their full package deals. worth a look at least...

i just ordered my evo-5's for $925 shipped with Toyo Proxes 4's on em.

    hmm.

so i went through tirerack.com, and found these.

    ASA JS-5
Bold and sporty 5-spoke design(thick spokes are win)
Deep, aggressive lip area (i LIKE lip. a lot)
Appearance enhancing rivets add a 2-piece look(meh. i can live with or without these. they're just annoying to clean)
    Fully covered lug area

I had ASA and they are made by a Korean company that licenses the BBS designs. They are not cheaply made in that they use a different casting method wich makes the wheel stronger and more lightweight. They are not the best either, but middle of the road.

The last rims I had were made by ASA and were by far the most durable. Many times I fell in potholes that I thought for sure I had bent a rim just to get out of the car and discover that they were perfect both inside and out.

I give thumbs up for this brand.

I was going to eventually buy these wheels when I first got the rolla but I don't even remember why I didn't. ASA is a good wheel brand, my friend has some mesh ones in his Honda and they're pretty sweet looking and pretty good quality cause there's barely any fade on the finish after he has had them for 3 years (no he hasn't refinished them or anything, just basic cleaning and protection) but just minor scratches from daily driving but about it, they still look like new though

Yes, and TireRack has the best customer service, maybe not the best prices, but top notch on customer service.
