SF runs it before the throttle body because his fuel system relies on making the stock ecu advance the timing as far as possible. This is because there is no way to tune the sf fuel system. it is up to the car and the increase in fuel pressure fromt he additional pump to supply the fuel.

This IS NOT A GOOD IDEA AT ALL...

The correct way to do it is to run the MAF on the intake tube to the turbo. This will allow the stock ecu to do what it is supposed to do while an eManage, PowerFC or what ever type of controller you are using to control fuel and timing curves can do it's job to supply the right amount of fuel.

My car did not run worth a crap with the MAF installed in front of the throttle body. I had suggested several times relocating the MAF to the intake tube on the turbo but he came up with lame excuses as to why he didn't want to then just before turning his back on the whole thing suggested he move it...

    Whats the difference?

I noticed that in Turborolla21 setup the map or maf was placed on the pipe going into the turbo while in the sf kit it was placed before the throttle body.Is there any difference?

ic i have thought of the same thing its just that i am not sure about it.what about the other kits, 03 corolla, celicas do they have the same set up.. are they having problems with it?

He is running all his kits that way..

The stock MAF sensor just like the MAP sensor are not designed to read boost. They are meant for normally asperated engines and have limits. The SF kit was making my ignition timing advance so far that it was causing detonation causing internal damage.

You really want to run a controller that can be programmed to supply the correct amount of fuel for a given boost level.

    Ways to do this:

    1. Install a fifth injector running off a AIC

    2. Install bigger injectors and a PFC, eManage or AEM stand alone... Even Unichip...

In order to run boost and not risk major damage to your car, you need to be able to ensure that your motor is running optimally at any given moment. The SF kit only works when at boost and most times at too high a boost at that. The pressure switch that turns on the fuel system on mine was set to about 2psi. From 0 to 2psi there is nothing being done to ensure a correct AF ratio other than what the ECU is doing.

The best thing to do is to do your research and find the right system for your budget. either system listed above will supply the fuel needed to ensure your motor lives a long and happy boosted life as long as you keep it within the limits.

let me put it this way, on higher boost you need the extra fuel to prevent the engine from running lean. Because running lean causes damaged on egine and detonation making your egine life shorter. Thus a alcohol injection comes in but not really reliable.
