You need to tap into the tach wire that goes to the computer? It's black, I don't recall exactly where it is but I can find it if you like, email or pm me.

The 00 has a couple tach wires. some on the ECU, another one elsewhere.

ECU ones are on E6, pin 13......E9, pin 27
    --black wires
    then there's a junction connector J9 pin B, J10 pin B
    -- also black wires
I dunno where they are though.

It's underneath it, in the center console.

I taped mine to a lead behind the cluster...I forget which one.

It's either coming loose now, or my tach is broken..dunno which. :p

    Is it always lit now?

I tapped the light wire into my taillight fuse, so it's not lit unless my lights are on. :)

The tach wire is on the C connector of the ECU, pin 8, and goes to a black connector near the ECU.

Would that be the same if you were trying to wire up a stock cluster w/ tach?
