well first off, the dual exhaust is more than likely hindering performance. You could get lowering springs, new struts, supercharger/turbocharger, header, sway bars........the list is pretty much endless.

nah i wouldn't bother with the aem pulley cuz i've heard that its just an alternator pulley so it'll just free up a fraction of a hp. if u've got the bucks i suggest a big bore kit and/or some sort of FI (i think the two combined would make mad power). or u could get a Unichip and get ur car tuned for the most power. it really only depends on ur budget

if u want a pulley system..get the unorthodox pulley set..comes with a crank and alternator pulley..it nets bigger gains

get rid of that dual exhaust.... unless you have a turbo or supercharger you need that backpressure.... i recomend the magnaflow or the TRD muffler
The AEM pulley will give you a lil HP but if you are planning on using allot of electronics then dont bother.... your alternator will spin to slow at idle to charge the battery and power everything. there is prettymuch no real big way to get horsepower unless you turbo or supercharge it so if i were you id save up for one of em.

i thought in order to get the duals on our motor, we'd haveta use some sort of y-pipe assembly and wouldnt that kinda cause more back pressure or is my thinking just way off?

it would split the exhaust up into two directions therefore thinning the flow and reducing back pressure

    Meh...

A dual exhaust on a 4-cylinder is an appearance mod, NOT a performance mod. Same goes for a rear wing on a front wheel drive car. They don't help your performance at all. They only make your car look like something it's not.

    Get rid of it.

Actually a rear wing can be functional on a front wheel drive car. In street use, no, but at the track(not drag strip) a wing is helpful at extreme speeds. nobody wants their back end slipping out at 100+ mph.

note: this does not condone putting a wing on your corolla

i don't think the dual exhaust would cause a loss in back pressure if u go to smaller pipes after the y pipe. say, 2.25 cat-back, then when it splits it goes to normal size (don't know exactly what the normal size is)

true... dual exhaust kills ur torque, that's why the EVo 8 and STi doesn't have dual exhaust, because it's pure performance

if u want more power, then go TRD supercharger, but if u dont care about warranteed, then go ahead and polish ur pistons and headers , or go turbo or sumin, might mess up ur engine tho..
