    What does clipping sound like?

    The system i have is my first system so i've never heard what it is supposed to sound like. What exactly does clipping sound like when ure under powering it.

    Have you ever listened to a portable stereo or walkman with a dying battery? It sounds buzzy like a detuned radio.

    Put a CD into a car with stock speakers and turn it up all the way. You will notice a popping sound or the a very distorted sound.

    If you never heard clipping sound than that is good you are not killing your sytem.
