what are these weird things do I need them?

    what are these weird things do I need them?

    do I need those bumper vents or can I take them out? I am going to do a full deadening of my car and thought about just removing those vents one on each side and just covering it up. my buddy has the same type of thing on his ford escort and he says the vents are vulnerable to rattling. I don't want to remove them if its gonna like make mold grow in my bumper what you guys think.

    i think it's a pressure releaf or just an airvent so when you lock someone in your trunk they dont suffocate.

    just remove it. you should be fine. if it is pressure relief then that little bit shouldnt do to much. if the HAS to get out it will find the easiest way, and if thats closed then it will find another way
