    What are my options?

I just purchased a new black Corolla S 2007 with the nice body kit, bcs my Volvo 99 S80 turned out to be a big money pit. My wife talked me into this car bcs of it's reliability and as far as looks it's has a very sporty and young look , but the downside is whats under the hood 126hp . (I know I'm a typical guy) lol I've been scoping the internet for the last week on my options for mods and I have to say I feel a bit discouraged. I joined this community to turn my outlook about my new car around. Can you guys enlighten me on my possiblities? I want to gradually increase my HP but don't know where to start.

What should be my first step on moding my Corolla, any suggestions?

How affective is it to mod the intake system and exhaust, will I notice a significant difference?

Can I use Corolla S 03 intakes, exhausts systems, and parts, since there is not much when I'm researching for a 06-07?

As you can tell I'm very new to this :)

welcome to the board, join us at www.vvt-i.net as well and well for car parts wise, there is nothing that I know out for the 07' Corolla since it's got a few different things and what not. Intake and Exhaust would give you maybe a couple hp and what not but nothing biggy. The only way to get good gains would be with going with a custom turbo set up. Just gotta have patience cause the model is so new they are still developing parts for 05+

are there big difference between 03 - 07 as far as the engine. I thought it was the same engine? how much does a turbo set cost and what about a trd supercharger?

the TRD supercharger varies by year and transmission cause the ECU's are different. It is the same motors but I think it's a few settings, sensors and what not that change. A custom turbo set up would be my guess if you want everything well done to last about 5k+ give or take

you know, it sounds like it's not worth the up grade I rather spend it two years down the line when I can afford a high HP car.... Thank you for your input and for setting me straight.

my 2004 is gonna go to its' new owner tomorrow and I'm going with either a 99' GSX or a 98-99 Corolla and turbo it. Modding Corollas was fun for me while it lasted and stuff but it's too much money to get all the custom stuff. The 8th gens are cheaper to turbo and more reliable for boost

the intake will give you better gas mileage, and when put together with an exhaust you will get a nice sound. the power difference depends on the brand. some you will be able to feel, others not so much. as for turbo and supercharger you will notice the diffderence but you run a much larger chance of messing up stuff.
