What am I missing here? The bolt with the spring is as tight as it can go into the header, it won't go down any further than that and there si about a 1/2 inch gap between the header and the pipe. Am I somehow missing a part? Stock header going into a stock downpipe.

All parts are Toyota OEM ordered from the parts department.

same bolt bra, they are straight out of the 1998 toyota corolla VE parts catalog. I work at a toyota dealership....trust me the are OEM...straight from Japan part no- 90080-10291 and 90501-35024

trust me, i've bought 3 different bolts from 3 different manufacturers.

BTW...the springs go on the bottom side -_-. Now I have to find some heatwrap.

I think you have the springs on wrong. cause its suppose to force the down pipe to the header and allow flex

Is that design a substitute for a flex pipe? What is that silver gasket made out of?
